If you'd prefer to create an offline account, also known as a local account, during the Windows 11 installation, follow these steps:
Open Command Prompt:
- When you reach the Out-of-Box Experience (OOBE) screen, press Shift + F10 to open the Command Prompt.
Disable Internet Connection:
- In the Command Prompt, type ncpa.cpl and press Enter to open Network Connections.
- Right-click your Ethernet or Wi-Fi connection and select Disable to disconnect your PC from the internet.
Enter the Bypass Command:
- In the Command Prompt, type oobe\bypassNRO and press Enter. Your PC will restart.
Continue with Setup:
- After restarting, select your country and keyboard layout again.
- A new option, "I don’t have Internet", will appear. Click on it, then choose "Continue with limited setup".
- Proceed with the Windows installation.
Re-enable Internet Connection:
- Once you reach the Windows desktop, press Windows key + R to open Run.
- Type ncpa.cpl and press Enter to open Network Connections again.
- Right-click your Ethernet or Wi-Fi connection and select Enable to reconnect to the internet.
By following these steps, you can set up a local account on your Windows 11 machine without needing a Microsoft Online Account. Enjoy your new setup!
